PHTA CERTIFIED MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST SM (CMS)

Meets License requirements in Connecticut and Rockland County, NY.
Designed for those new to the pool and spa service industry or working a pool maintenance route, this course takes you through the PHTA Service Tech Manual and gives you what you need to conform to industry standards. There are no prerequisites; new and seasonal employees are welcome. Learn key content in the PHTA Service Tech Manual, including safety, pool maintenance, water quality, and pool circulation & filtration.
*You must successfully pass (by scoring 75% or better) a 75-question, open-book, multiple-choice to earn the designation. All materials, exam and Service Tech Manual included.
PHTA CERTIFIED POOL OPERATOR (CPO) SM

The Pool & Spa Operator® (CPO®) Certification is the world's leading verifiable pool and spa training credential for aquatic facility maintenance personnel, health officials, retailers, property owners, and other professionals. CPO® certification provides individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations.
This training has helped protect millions of swimmers by reducing hazards at aquatic facilities. Upon course completion and successfully passing the exam, students will become Certified Pool & Spa Operators (CPO®). All materials and the exam are included. Please bring a calculator to class.
PHTA CERTIFIED HOT TUB TECHNICIAN (CHTT)

Meets License requirements in New Jersey and Long Island, NY
The CHTT program covers the essentials of servicing portable and permanently installed hot tubs and spas and equipment repair & replacement. The course is designed for individuals in the service industry who work with portable and permanently installed hot tubs and/or spas. Attendees will gain a vast body of practical knowledge on servicing and troubleshooting hot tubs regardless of brand. They will also master the essentials of hot tub and spa water chemistry, electrical systems, circulation, and filtration while learning tips and tricks for basic repairs to interior surfaces.

GENESIS C201: Construction School – Concrete Pools 3-day Course

This course (or GENESIS 260) meets one (1) of the prerequisites to earn the CBP Designation.
CBP Meets License requirements in Connecticut, New Jersey & Long Island, NY
Attendees will learn all of the necessary disciplines for building a structurally sound water vessel. Topics covered include site analysis, introductory fluid engineering, geotechnical and structural engineering that includes a review of difficult sites, shotcrete, waterproofing, tile, interior finishes, coping, and concrete decking. The course concludes with an interactive walkthrough of a complex project from start to finish. This program is designed to move each student through all phases of concrete pool construction in detail, unlike anything else offered in the industry. Attendees will learn from top experts in their field, ask questions, and begin a relationship with the faculty that doesn't end when the class is over. PHTA CERTIFIED SERVICE TECHNICIAN SM (CST)

Meets License requirements in New Jersey and Long Island, NY
The CST is for individuals with at least 1-2 years of experience in pool and spa service and repair. Learn key content in the PHTA Service Tech Manual in approximately three days of instruction. The course focuses on these key areas: safety, water quality, circulation, hydraulics, electrical requirements, and structures & finishes.

PHTA CERTIFICATION EXAMS

Open to all requiring a PHTA certification exam EXCEPT Certified Building Professional (CBP).* If you are taking a PHTA Certification course (CMS, CST, CHTT) during the Show, you will be automatically registered for the event; additional details will be given out during your class.
If you are seeking to take a Retest (except CBP*), CMS/CST Licensing Challenge, or have completed an online Certification program and require testing, you must pre-register for this event by contacting NESPA for requirements and pre-requisites: pcava@nespapool.org.
